          •      The Secondary Vocational School of Business and Services, as its name indicates, specializes in preparing its students for work in several branches related to trades and services. The school´s policy is to offer a general education, extensive knowledge, and practical skills enabling its graduates to either continue their studies at a university level, or to enter the workforce, find steady employment and enjoy success in their chosen professional careers.

                 The school strives to provide its students with the most current knowledge in their respective fields of study, while simultaneously supporting their  personal development, general knowledge and skills, proficiency  and  professionalism through  a variety of extra-curricular activities. During their course of study, students have access to a wide selection of study groups, training courses leading to the completion of bartending and barista certificates, participation in international projects, national and international skills competitions, language contests, as well as vocational training abroad, namely in Cyprus, France, Greece, Germany, Italy and Switzerland, all of which give our students a valuable head start in their careers. Our partner organisations provide them with opportunities to develop their knowledge and skills in a real-life professional environment, increasing their employability after graduation.

                 Our school focuses on the highest quality of both practical and theoretical education. The quality and professionalism of our graduates is recognized and warmly welcomed in Slovakia, as well as throughout the entire EU.

             

            Courses of study offered at our school are as follow:

             

            • 6323 K – hotel management (five-year course of study)
            • 6444 K – food service (four-year course of study)
            • 6445 K – cook (four-year course of study)
            • 6405 K – tourism marketing (four-year course of study)
            • 6362 M – cosmetician (four-year course of study)
            • 3656 K – construction worker (four-year course of study)

             

                 All of the above mentioned programmes of study culminate in school-leaving examinations. Graduates receive a certificate of apprenticeship entitling them to undertake work in their field of specialisation, as well as a secondary school-leaving certificate enabling them to continue their studies at a university level.

             

            • 6444 H – waiter, waitress (three-year course of study)
            • 6445 H – cook (three-year course of study)
            • 6456 H – hairdresser (three-year course of study)
            • 6460 H – shop assistant (three-year course of study)
            • 2962 H – baker (three-year course of study)
            • 2964 H – confectioner (three-year course of study)
            • 3152 H 02 – seamstress (three-year course of study)

             

                 All of the above mentioned programmes of study end with final examinations. Graduates receive a certificate of apprenticeship entitling them to undertake work in their field of specialisation.

             

            Further education:

            • 6411 L – retail management and internal trade (two-year course of study) – intended for qualified shop assistants
            • 6421 L – catering services (two-year course of study) – intended for  qualified waiters, waitresses, cooks and confectioners
            • 6426 L – hair cosmetics (two-year course of study) – intended for qualified hairdressers
            • 3125 L – clothing trade (two-year course of study) – intended for qualified seamstresses

             

                    All of the above mentioned programmes of study end with school-leaving examinations. Graduates receive a secondary school-leaving certificate enabling them to continue their studies at university.
